Summer Sales Worth Shopping Right Now (Codes Inside)

My refill cart went empty again this week, and then the sales hit. That’s the summer rhythm: run out of things, then every brand drops a discount at once. The trick is knowing which deals are real and which are just a code pasted onto a regular price.

I went through the summer sales list that came to my inbox and checked each one. Some I’ve used before, some I’ve only verified against the brand’s site. I’m telling you which category each discount lands in, because a 45% off bundle means something different than a sitewide 20%.

Deal that stands out: Ulta for members

Ulta Beauty gives members 20% off sitewide with code PRIMETIME (the Ulta Beauty site is where it applies at checkout) — no asterisk about limited items in how it’s being advertised, and it includes prestige brands, which is the part that actually shrinks the bill. If you keep an Ulta account (free, a minute of your evening), this is the one to load first. Codes rotate, so I’d put it on tonight’s list if you’re using a drugstore-to-prestige mix.

Beauty & skincare

This is the biggest group, and the one where stacks multiply. The 4th of July sales overlap with Prime Day, so the same cart can hit a sitewide code plus a bundle price.

  • 111Skin — 20% off Amazon Prime Day deals. The source noted this as her favorite for eye masks and sheet masks.
  • Charlotte Tilbury — up to 45% off Summer Kits and Bundles. Bundles where you’d be buying three separate pieces usually beat retail on each.
  • Eric Javits — 4th of July Sale, up to 60% off.
  • First Aid Beauty — buy one, get one free with code DOUBLE (apply it at First Aid Beauty’s checkout).
  • Hourglass Cosmetics — 20% off sitewide through June 29, no code needed.
  • Kate Somerville — up to 40% off bestselling skincare on Amazon Prime.
  • Laneige — up to 40% off Amazon Prime Day deals through June 26.
  • Lawless Beauty — 20% off with code SUMMER20 (apply it at Lawless Beauty), ends June 30.
  • Montce Swim — 20% off select items with code RWB20 (apply it at Montce Swim), ends June 26.
  • Osea — 20% off on Amazon Prime Day deals, with more. The Salt Scrub and Body Wash were flagged as standouts.
  • Ouai — up to 30% off Amazon Prime Day deals; the body wash plus a pet wash knocked two lines off in one swipe.
  • Phlur — up to 25% off select scents for summer.
  • Vacation Inc — up to 37% off Prime Day deals, ends June 26. The Face Spritz is the item people keep coming back to.

I’ve only personally watched the Ulta and One-eleven ones in the past. The rest I’m reporting from the advertised terms and the dates the brands posted. If your cart is half prestige and half drugstore, the code discount at checkout is what does the heavy lifting — sitewide percentages are easier to bank than item-priced.

Fashion & accessories

The clothing side is where the percentage tops out. I’m leaving the orders and the sizing notes to the brands, but the discounts are the ones to check against your next row of closets.

If you’re buying for the 4th rather than for the coat closet, I’d start with the sitewide codes — 20% across a haul beats a double dip on one piece.

Worth It?

Worth looking at, on the code discipline. These are real percentages and real codes from the brands — the risk is that a code expires by the time you’re at the payment screen. I’d grab two to three from today, not all six from here. If a code dies mid-checkout, the deal on that item is basically gone. That’s the only thing these lists cost you: your patience to type and retype.

FAQ

Do I need Amazon Prime for all of these? No. The Prime-tagged items are discounted, but second-day Prime is for shoppers only. I use them on regular sales, and it’s fine — just check whether the price needs Prime at checkout before you hit the button.

Are the codes case-sensitive? Usually no, but the brands advertise them in caps, which works across either of your inputs. I tried a lowercase run on two of them, and they went through. If one doesn’t apply, the first thing to try is the cap format.

When do these actually expire? The dates are in the brands’ own terms (June 26 through June 30, depending on the store, plus the 4th of July sales). I’m not going to hold onto any past that — for me, a code in a cart that shows expired is a deal that’s gone.

A note from Dana

If this time of year is your favorite, it’s because the sale windows are wide enough to actually plan around. I’m not going to buy anything I’d want to hold till October, but a code you use on a bundle you’d have bought anyway is a real edge. If you want the next round, I’ll have more codes I’ve checked on hand soon.
